A major function of HADWAA is to raise the profile of Domestic Abuse as a community safety, health & regeneration issue. We achieve this aim by working with the local domestic abuse strategic partnership.
HADWAA networks extensively with relevant statutory agencies, community groups and voluntary sector organisations, offering awareness training and volunteering opportunities.
The organisation regularly hold 'Open Days' using a multi-agency approach which will incorporate a drama performance, a powerful tool to reinforce the subtle tactics behind what is often a hidden and complex problem. We attend regional meetings with other associated members to share good practice, discuss differentiation and to explore ways in improving forum provision with survivors. Halton and District Women's Aid is affiliated to Women's Aid Federation England who campaign and lobby government on behalf of women's aid members and stakeholders.
